Nim is an ancient, traditional abstract strategy 2-player game played with stones, coins or other counters. It is a "solved" game with a winning strategy, but it's not so easy to find it if you play with many pieces, and it's a great game for learning to think strategically.
As many cubes as you wish, the colour doesn't matter.
One player picks any number of cubes and places them in heaps, deciding the number of heaps and the number of cubes in each heap. The other player makes the first move.
In turn, each player takes one or more cube(s) from (only) one of the heaps. The winner is the player who makes the last move, so there are no cubes left afterwards.
